§ 505.26. Maintenance of stables and pens.

  • (a)

    No person, firm or corporation shall erect or maintain any cattle or horse barn, hog pens or other structure wherein animals are kept within 100 feet of any permanently improved, open and used street or avenue within the City, or within 100 feet of any structure owned by another or used for human habitation, occupation or assembly, whether the structure is in the same or adjacent block or square.

    (b)

    Each stable, pen, coop and other enclosure or place where any animal or fowl is kept shall be so located and of such construction as to have sufficient sanitary drainage to keep it dry at all times; and it shall be the duty of each person owning, harboring or keeping any animal or fowl to maintain each enclosure or other place where such animal or fowl is kept in a clean and sanitary condition at all times, free of any unwholesome or offensive substance, liquid or odor and so as not to constitute a nuisance.
