§ 509.11. Smoking in public places.

(a)

Generally. No person or persons shall, on any City-owned property and/or public park within municipal boundaries, willfully engage in the activity of smoking whether the smoke shall emanate from an electronic cigarette, vapor cigarette, cigarette, cigar, pipe or any other smoking device of any kind or character that produces nicotine emissions. Any person or persons engaging in smoking must do so in a designated area that is posted. Any person or persons who do not adhere to this section shall be in violation of this provision and subject to the general penalty provisions set forth in Section 501.99 of the City Code.

(b)

Definitions. For purposes of this section:

Public place means a City-owned property, which includes municipal parks, buildings, parking areas and other municipally owned facilities.
