§ 111.03. Emergency services council.

  • There is hereby created an Emergency Services Council, hereinafter called Council, which shall consist of five residents appointed by City Council, who shall advise the City Emergency Services Director (provided for in the next section) on all matters pertaining to emergency services. The Chairperson of the Council shall be elected by the members. The members thereof shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for the reasonable and necessary expenses actually incurred in the performance of their duties. The City Manager, with the approval of the City Council shall be responsible for and have general direction and control of the emergency services of the City and have such other powers as are granted and conferred by this Article which are not inconsistent with other ordinances of this City.
