§ 127.01. Powers and duties.

  • (a)

    The City Recorder shall be the custodian of all records, maps, documents and other papers of the City Government for which no other custodian is designated, and he shall keep them secure against all hazards and make them available to the public as provided in Section 103.07.

    (b)

    The office of the City Recorder is recognized as the principal point of contact between the public and the City Government; and all personnel of the City Recorder's office shall provide information and guidance to all orderly persons affected by the provisions of these Codified Ordinances or other ordinances or resolutions of Council, and to those having business to transact in any City department, office or agency.

    (c)

    The City Recorder shall have such other powers and perform such other duties as may from time to time be specified by the Mayor or Council.
