§ 705.02. Rates for location, placement, time limits and restrictions.

(a)

Applications for a posting permit shall be accompanied by a permit bond payable to the City at the following rates:

Individual event	$ 10.00
Nonprofit organization	15.00
Profit organization	25.00
Political candidate announcements	100.00
All other	50.00

 

(b)

All printed materials, signs, posters, plaques and banners to be posted in the City shall comply with the following regulations:

(1)

Yard/garage sale posters, signs, banners or plaques shall be allowed three days prior to the sale and shall be removed within two days after the sale.

(2)

Event posters, signs, banners or plaques shall be allowed seven days prior to the event and shall be removed within two days after the event.

(3)

Election campaign advertising posters, signs, banners or plaques shall be allowed up to 30 days prior to the election and shall be removed within two weeks (14 days) after the election.

(4)

Signs, posters, banners, or plaques promoting a business, whether for profit or non-profit shall not be placed on public rights-of-way or utility easements unless adjoining the business advertised on said signs, posters, banners or plaques.

(5)

It is illegal to post any signs, posters, banners or plaques on telephone poles or guard rails. All printed materials, signs, posters, banners or plaques shall be freestanding with supports or posts provided by the applicant.
