§ 1317.01. Appointment.

(a)

A Board of Zoning Appeals shall be appointed by Council in accordance with W. Va. Code, § 8A-8-1 et seq.

(b)

The Board of Zoning Appeals shall consist of five members who shall be residents of the City. Such members shall have been residents of the City for at least three years preceding the time of their appointment. No member of the Board of Zoning Appeals shall be a member of the City Planning Commission nor shall any member hold other elective or appointive offices in the government of the City or the County. Members of the Board of Zoning Appeals shall be appointed for three-year staggered terms. The terms shall expire on January 1. Vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired term of any member whose term becomes vacant.
