§ 305.01. Authority of chief of police to issue permits; rules and regulations.

  • (a)

    Whenever, pursuant to any provision of this Traffic Code, a permit is required or authorized for any purpose, and no other City officer is designated as the issuing officer, the permit shall be issued by the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police is hereby authorized to issue such rules and regulations governing traffic as may be in conformity with the provisions of this Traffic Code.

    (b)

    Any permit issued by the Chief of Police pursuant to the foregoing authority shall not be valid for a period of time exceeding 12 months from the issuance thereof.
